I've been trying to understand the position of Western women through the lens of female divinity. I would attribute seduction to femininity, but I may be biased as a straight man. The Romans had Eros as a god of seduction, which resembles a prepubescent boy. But generally women are widely regarded as the fairer sex, in terms of physical beauty, charm, grace, sensuality. There are feminine archetypes or Goddesses, corresponding with eroticism, seduction, fertility.
